Habra Heights Fire Watch, Inc. is a community fire watch and prevention program.
To give a little history, forest fires are nothing new to California. It seems
like every community around La Habra Heights has suffered through a devastating
fire destroying homes, property and lives at some point in time. After a major
fire, each of these affected communities usually decide to start a fire watch
and prevention program. They never want to experience the loss, hardship and
cost ever again.
La Habra Heights has been extremely
fortunate to not have suffered a devastating community fire. Taking lessons for
our neighbors, we started a fire watch and prevention program of our own.
Through education, vigilance, and patrols we do everything we can to prevent
fires. LHHFW would like to get everybody educated and involved.
 Education
can be as simple as telling people to not throw out a lit cigarette butt, to
clearing dry or dead brush and bushes from around their homes, to having
education seminars. We always need more volunteers. With the donation of a
